Asked by Justin Dawson. When I use the Citrix Workspace app V Or is it a bug? When you're in other apps or in Workspace outside a sessionthe iPad screen is just mirrored onto the external display. This includes the native mouse cursor. This is the default behavior if an app is not doing anything explicit with the external display. When an external display is configured as a separate screen, the citrix receiver ipad mouse screen is no longer mirrored - the content on the external display can be different.

That means the native mouse cursor is not mirrored either. This is because the two screens could now be showing different content and use different resolutions, different aspect ratio, etc. So iPadOS does not show the native mouse cursor on the external display in such case. You can however disable the External Display option in Workspace settings. That will allow the session screen to be mirrored onto the external display, and that will include the native mouse cursor also.

It means though the session displayed on the external display will be using the same resolution as the iPad screen itself. The only way citrix receiver ipad mouse make use of the full external display resolution and still be able to interact with the content on the external display with a mouse, is using a Citrix X1 Mouse. The X1 mouse in citrix receiver ipad mouse case will be used as generic mouse when outside a session or in other apps, and will be used as a desktop mouse with a pointer cursor when inside a session.

When an external display is connected while in session and with the External Display option enabled, the X1 mouse pointer will show on the external display instead of the iPad screen.

Thanks for the explanation. Have just discovered this limitation today and its very disappointing citrix 13.3 I understand its an iPadOS issue. I am also having this issue. I am using the Citrix Workspace app version While I can get Citrix to orient properly on my external monitor, I cannot see the mouse pointer on citrix receiver ipad mouse external display although the pointer does display on the citrix receiver ipad mouse screen.

There also does not seem to be a way to extend the screen like I would on a traditional desktop or laptop paired with an external monitor, although I think this is больше на странице limitation iOS itself and not the Citrix application.

In this case generic mouse support on the external display is not supported by iOS. Due to citrix receiver ipad mouse limitation, the only way to have посетить страницу mouse pointer on the external display at this time is using a Citrix X1 Mouse, or disable the External Display option in CWA, in which case you'd simply be mirroring the citrix receiver ipad mouse and would not be taking advantage of the monitor's full resolution.

I have an iPad Pro running iOS I do see it on the iPad screen of course. You will be able to leave a comment after signing in. Welcome to the Citrix Discussions.
